Carpathians (Bieszczady, Lower Beskid)

Ural owl waiting for it's prey
Magical place. Southern border of Poland. Small number of people who live there, and quite a big distance to bigger towns makes it a place perfect for wild animals (predators, birds of prey). Here You can still track wolfs, follow lynx, feel the closeness of the brown bear with golden eagle gliding with dignity above Your head. If you know the good place and time it's possible to encounter group of bison or ural owl waiting for it's prey!

Carpathians are best in winter and autumn time, and depending on season offers different kind of emotions!

Winter - is best for tracking. Leafless beach forest is really good for searching of animals and makes it possible to see things that remains hidden in different seasons. Wolfs are very active these days - walking many kilometres leaving plenty of tracks. It's not so difficult to find their dinner or resting place. Bisons are gathering in herds which are quite easy to find. In february woodpeckers starts to be very active and the forest is often filled with knocking noise. Also the brown bears finish their winter nap and start to be very active! Small number of people makes you feel like heading really into the wild. Come and feel it!
